SARI ANN STRASBURG is the owner of the law firm STRASBURG LAW P.L.L.C., established in 2003.
With over 25 years of experience, Ms. Strasburg is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and she is a certified public accountant in New Hampshire and Illinois. She received her B.S. degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. degree from Boston University.
Attorney Strasburg was selected for the 2009 DirectWomen Board Institute. DirectWomen named 21 top women lawyers from across the country for the program, designed to identify and promote qualified women lawyers to serve on corporate boards of public companies.
She received the 2007 Business Excellence Award for Excellence in Law. Nominees were judged using seven standards: Industriousness; Innovation and Vision; Achievements and Accomplishments; How the nominee dealt with Adversity or Competition; Overall Success; Dedication to the chosen profession; Commitment to community, customers and employees.
She has lectured for and participated in professional and educational organizations including the New Hampshire Bar Association, the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Tax Professionals, National Business Institute, Sterling Education, the International Trademark Association, the Licensing Executives Society, the Women's Business Center, and the New Hampshire Business & Industry Association.
Ms. Strasburg is a member of the American, Massachusetts and New Hampshire Bar Associations, the NH Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Business & Industry Association of New Hampshire and its Research & Development Leadership Council, the Women's Business Center, and the New Hampshire High Technology Council. At the NH Bar Association, she has served as an officer for many years, including Chair of the Taxation Law Section for two years and Chair of both the Tax and the Liaison Committees of the International Law Section.
From 2006 to 2009, Sari served on the Board of Directors of the Women's Business Center, a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to entrepreneurship, and for two years, she served as its Chair. In addition, she served as Vice Chair and chaired the Fund Development Committee. For three years, she served on the Board of Trustees of the New Hampshire Symphony Orchestra. Sari is a past Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of the American Lung Association of New Hampshire.
Formerly, she was the General Counsel and Secretary of the Velcro companies where she directed the US and international tax and legal affairs for 10 years. Prior legal positions include Partner at Pepe & Hazard LLP and Senior Associate at Wiggin & Nourie, P.A. Prior tax positions include Tax Manager at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and Tax Specialist at Arthur Andersen in Boston.
